He is certified by the American Board of Medical Microbiology (ABMM) and is a Fellow of the Canadian College of Microbiologists. Dr. Alexander is also recognized as a Specialist in Microbiology and Molecular Biology by the American Society for Clinical Pathologist (ASCP). Dr. Alexander is board certified in Infection Control and Epidemiology (CBIC) as well as a Medical Affairs Specialist by the American Council for Medical Affairs' (ACMA). Dr. Alexander is the Director or the Microbiology Laboratories at AdventHealth Orlando, where he has implemented rapid and comprehensive antimicrobial resistance (AMR) protocols, rapid and cost-effective whole genome sequencing solutions, and laboratory optimization through dashboard implementation.
